About Semax
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide consisting of the Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro sequence, derived from the ACTH(4-7) core neuropeptide fragment with additional C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro modifications that enhance central nervous system penetration and stability in biological matrices. The peptide was developed through Russian pharmacological research as an analog of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) fragments and exhibits CNS activity profiles in preclinical models without significant effects on the HPA axis at research concentrations.
Research investigations of semax have focused on its neurotrophin-related effects in rodent brain tissue models, including BDNF and NGF mRNA expression characterization in hippocampal cell culture systems, dopaminergic and serotonergic receptor modulation studies, and neuroprotective pathway analysis in hypoxia-reoxygenation in vitro models. The compound is also studied for its effects on NO production in cerebrovascular research models and for its behavior as a cognitive research tool compound in controlled preclinical settings. This product is provided for qualified laboratory research use only.

Lyophilized Research Peptides
This product is supplied in lyophilized (freeze-dried) form — a process that extends shelf life and preserves peptide purity and structural integrity during storage. No fillers, excipients, or preservatives are used in the lyophilization process. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted with an appropriate research-grade solvent in a controlled laboratory environment prior to use in in vitro or preclinical assay systems.
