About Ara-290
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is a synthetic 17-amino acid peptide derived from the helix B surface of erythropoietin (EPO). The helix B region of EPO is responsible for binding to the beta common receptor (βcR), which forms heterodimeric complexes with the EPO receptor to create a non-hematopoietic tissue-protective receptor distinct from the classical homodimeric EPO receptor involved in erythropoiesis. ARA-290 was designed to engage this tissue-protective signaling pathway while avoiding the erythropoiesis-stimulating activity of full-length EPO.
Research investigations of ARA-290 have focused on its interaction with the innate repair receptor (comprised of βcR and EPO receptor components), downstream JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway characterization in non-erythroid cell lines, anti-apoptotic pathway activation in sensory neuron models, and comparative pharmacology versus full-length EPO and other EPO-derived peptides. The compound is an important research tool for studying the tissue-protective receptor complex biology and dissecting EPO's pleiotropic receptor-mediated activities. For laboratory research use only.

Lyophilized Research Peptides
This product is supplied in lyophilized (freeze-dried) form — a process that extends shelf life and preserves peptide purity and structural integrity during storage. No fillers, excipients, or preservatives are used in the lyophilization process. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted with an appropriate research-grade solvent in a controlled laboratory environment prior to use in in vitro or preclinical assay systems.
